Pastor James & Verna Lilley
Rev. James Lilley was born October 23, 1969 in Revere, Massachusetts. Raised in a Catholic home, he gave his heart to Christ at the age eighteen. In 1993 James graduated from Central College with a B.A. In pastoral Ministry. He them completed two years of correspondence study from Berean University.
While in college Pastor James met Verna Peterson (from South Dakota) and they married in 1993. Since then they have been blessed with four children Jedidiah, James, John, and Bonita. PastorVerna graduated with her B.A. In Pastoral Ministry in 1994. Pastor James was the youth pastor from 1992-1996 under Pastor David Case in Kansas. He has a great passion for prayer and has sat on the board of Christian Connections & House of Prayer Ministry and several other building programs and expansions for God’s glory. In 1996-1997, Pastor James and Verna were teachers for the Raithhoffer Shows and together traveled from state to state each week for 10 months.
The Lord then led them to New England in 1997. God specifically spoke that they would be part of a great revival that would sweep New England. Since 1998, the year they began pastoring here at First Assembly, the church has seen continual growth and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They are continuing to impact da our community by building strong families caring and spreading Gods word and the love of Jesus Christ.
